Specialized Online Therapy

My main focus is on helping individuals navigate and heal from toxic family relationships. We can address a range of issues together, including:

  • Identifying signs of a toxic family member (e.g., a toxic parent)
  • Determining when it's okay to cut off family ties (going "no contact") and how to do so
  • Managing interactions with toxic family members during holidays or other gatherings
  • Setting boundaries with family members and dealing with disrespect
  • Communicating effectively with toxic family members
  • Healing from toxic family relationships

General Therapy Services

In addition to my specialized service centered around toxic family dynamics, I also help individuals with a variety of general concerns, including:

  • ADHD
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Trauma

These were my original specialization areas when I began my private practice. However, I have noticed that toxic family issues frequently arise for many clients, which is why I am now centering my focus on this topic.

Frequently Asked Questions About Therapy Services

Therapy provides a safe and supportive environment to explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insights, and develop coping strategies. It works best when you're actively engaged and committed. As your therapist, I guide you, but much of the work happens between sessions. The more effort you put in, the more you’ll benefit.

The duration of therapy varies. Some people need just a few sessions, while others may need months or years, especially if dealing with childhood trauma. You decide when to start, pause, or stop therapy. Think of it as an investment in your well-being that requires time and commitment.

You can talk about anything: daily stressors, life challenges, your past, relationships, emotions, and goals. Therapy is a space to vent, be emotional, ask questions, and practice skills.

Online therapy works similarly to in-person therapy, but we connect via a secure video platform. Seeing each other face-to-face is crucial as nonverbal communication plays a significant role. It’s important to have a good internet connection and a private space for our sessions. See the steps for connecting below.

The frequency of our sessions is up to you. Weekly sessions are common, but some prefer bi-weekly or monthly. Meeting less than monthly can slow progress. Think of our meetings like a pace: weekly is a jog, bi-weekly is a brisk walk, and monthly is a leisurely stroll.

Therapy helps improve your well-being and sense of self. It allows you to process emotional wounds and live more freely. Everyone deserves to live their best life, and therapy can help you unload emotional burdens that might be holding you back.
